The Genie and Rameshwaram
A curious boy named Rameshwaram Nayak finds a magic pot in his village and meets a genie who gives him three wishes. After wishing for gold he learns to think about others and makes the most kind and beautiful wish in the end.
Once there was a genie who was stuck in a old pot. He was very sad because no one found him for a long long time.
One day a boy named Rameshwaram Nayak was playing near the trees in his village Bharat Singh Natanam. He saw a shiny pot in the mud. He picked it up and rubbed it. Suddenly a big genie came out! Rameshwaram was very scared but the genie smiled and said he will give him three wishes.
Rameshwaram got very excited and said he wants lots and lots of gold. The genie snapped his fingers and gold coins fell everywhere! On the roads, in the trees, everywhere!
Rameshwaram ran home and told his family. But nobody believed him. His mother said go wash your hands. His sister said he is lying.
So he took them outside. They saw all the gold and their mouths were open. His grandmother picked one coin and said now think carefully for the next two wishes! Rameshwaram thought very hard. He wished that everyone in the village gets food and medicine and a good school.
Then for his last wish he felt sad for the genie. So he said I wish you are free now. Go anywhere you want.
The genie had tears in his big eyes. He said thank you and flew away into the sky happily. Everyone in the village remembered Rameshwaram as the kind boy who helped everyone.
